Having finally sorted through the virtual mountain of emails, we've randomly plucked the lucky winners in our Duke Nukem/Crash Bandicoot competition. We had some very, erm, interesting answers to some of the questions, but hey, they were pretty tough. So here are the correct answers, along with the lucky (and clever) winners:
Q. What does mercurial mean when referring to someone's temperament?
A. Volatile, lively.
Mark Wood got that one right and is now the proud owner of a Gundam Wing model.
Q. What's the Latin name for the family of agile marsupials to which the bandicoot belongs?
A. Peramelidae.
Chris Lewis was clued up enough to win himself a lovely, plush Crash Bandicoot doll.
Q. Duke Nukem is a registered trademark of which American software company?
A. 3D Realms.
Congratulations to William Gallear who gets a cracking BattleLord action figure.
Q. Which American actor was fondly known as 'The Duke'?
A. John Wayne.
Aurra Sing won a lovely Duke Nukem figure for that.
Q. The komodo dragon grows to approximately how many feet long?
A. 10 feet (or thereabouts).
That was Mark Wood again, who has now got a plush Komodo Moe doll to hug while building his Gundam Wing model. Some guys have all the luck!
Q. If bovine is to cows, and ovine is to sheep, what is to pigs?
A. Porcine.
Mark Cole's zoological knowledge has won him a splendid Pig Cop action figure.
Q. How many toys have we got to give away in this whole competition?
A. Seven (remember to count this one!).
Nicholas Avenell won himself a Duke Nukem action figure for his amazing counting skills.
That's all folks. Congratulations to all the winners, who should email Andy Ashwin with their postal addresses if they haven't already done so.
