Tiberian Sun Set to Shine

C&C sequel hits the shops next Friday

One of the year's most eagerly awaited games finally arrives on the shelves next Friday. Westwood's Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun, some three years in the making, has suffered slippage but publishers Electronic Arts are backing it to the hilt with a huge marketing campaign.

The previous incarnations of Command & Conquer were published by Virgin, but EA liked the game so much they bought the company.

"We've been looking forward to launching Tiberian Sun ever since the acquisition of Westwood," EA's Al King told trade paper CTW. "Friday's ship is the culmination of our biggest ever launch for a PC game and we will ship and sell through more units than the last C&C."

Look out for Future Gamer's definitive review of Tiberian Sun soon.
