SNK reveal attractive price, plus 14 launch titles
As of October 1 there will be some healthy competition for Nintendo in the handheld market with the launch of SNK's NeoGeo Pocket Color. This splendid little 16bit box of joy will sell for £59.99, 10 quid less than expected, as a result of the recent N64/PlayStation price drop. But what are you going to play on it? Take your pick from these impressive launch titles (all £24.99):
NeoGeo Cup Plus
Turf Masters
Bio Motor Unitron
Pac-Man
Pocket Tennis
Metal Slug
King of Fighters R2
Puzzle Bobble Mini
Crush Roller
Fatal Fury: First Contact
Samurai Showdown
Dragon's Wild
Cherry Master
Mystery Bonus
Not bad, eh? We've played most of them and heartily recommend Puzzle Bobble Mini, Metal Slug and King of Fighters R2. And how about the perfect arcade conversion of Pac-Man? Sweet. Don't worry if you can't afford a game straight away as the NeoGeo Pocket Color has loads of neat little features to fiddle around with - there's an alarm clock, world times, a calendar and a clever little horoscope program. Did we mention that some games are compatible with Sega's Dreamcast? No? Well they are. Not bad for 60 quid.
