New additions to the Hints and Tips database include more tips for C&C: Tiberian Sun on PC, Sled Storm on the PlayStation, Re-Volt on N64 and TrickStyle on the Dreamcast. We've also got patches and updates for all the latest games.

The Future Gamer Chat Forum is back to what it's best at - discussing videogames and machines. This week, it's all that's been on users' minds, what with the Dreamcast sitting on the launchpad, the PlayStation2 unveiled, together with some tasty screenshots, and the Dolphin sitting back, biding its time (that is, of course, if Dolphins could sit back. Which they can't).

Everyone has had plenty to say on all this activity. Many seem tempted by the Dreamcast as it is ready, finished and available immediately, whereas the other two aren't going to be seen until some time next year (and in the case of PlayStation2, exactly when is a contentious issue). In fact, some 'Forumites' have been slightly underwhelmed by Sony's press release this week. They wanted more details on the launch games, new joypads (and four ports), a more realistic launch date, and they want it to look less like a Philips CDi! But of course it has had its champions. Indeed, anyone would think Dave designed the thing, he's so defensive and paranoid on the subject. Elsewhere this week, Chris found time to demand Doom 3. He thinks that 3D games are too clever for their own good these days and wants a return to hundreds of dumb monsters steaming towards you from all angles. Forget AI, forget stealth, forget polygons - just give him 200 flat sprites in a small room with a rocket launcher and he's happy, and many other Forum users seemed to agree. Are you listening, id?
