Dreamcast/TV Combo Coming to Japan

This version of Dreamcast comes with a television

We've seen some strange things in our lives, but this ranks among the weirdest. Fuji Television will be releasing their very own version of Dreamcast under the name 'Devers 2000 Series CX-1'. This isn't just a repackaging of Sega's console, though. The CX-1 is a combination television and Dreamcast, and it comes complete with four controller ports and a modem.

Best of all, the CX-1 is shaped like a Morolien, the main enemy character from Space Channel 5. The monitor is seemingly contained within the Morolien's sufficiently wide centre. Either that or Fuji were attempting to mimic the I-MAC with their design.

Regardless, the unit is expected to be priced at 88,888 yen (around £500) and will be available for reservation at select mail order retailers in Japan on March 21. It will be a limited edition model, so get your credit card (and plane tickets) ready now.
