The Newest Wonder of the Web?

Huge new gaming network allows you to play all your favourite games from one site

WON.net launches today, a pan-European gaming portal promising free online access to the best games of every genre.

With more than 40 games at launch, WON.net will cover all the major gaming categories, such as action, strategy, role-playing, sports, card games, word games, board games and game shows.

At the site you'll be able to play some of the biggest PC games of the moment, including Half-Life, Quake 3 Arena, Unreal Tournament and Soldier of Fortune, sports titles Extreme Biker and PGA Golf, plus strategy games Homeworld and Age of Empires II.

Services on the portal will be totally free of charge.

At the launch at the Millia trade show in Cannes, Emmanuel Schalit, President of Won.net Inc., claimed: "Won.net is ideally placed to quickly lead the European online gaming space."

How the site will behave anyone's guess, but it already boasts 2.5 million registered users, so we suggest you check it out for yourselves. You can find it at www.won.net.
