Codemasters' latest to feature runners, not cars
Micro Machines 4 is in development for a 2000 release, and unlike the three predecessors, the game won't feature tiny vehicles racing around breakfast table tops. Instead, Codies have taken the decision to have little people-like creatures running around the place. The effect should be pretty much the same, with milk cartons looking like skyscrapers, barbecues seeming like vast fields of lava and ponds the size of oceans. The game will also retain its best feature - multiplayer, competitive racing - but this time the whole environments are to be in true 3D. Whereas MM3 featured 3D polygon graphics, the actual playing space remained predominantly two dimensional. More news when we get it, but in the meantime here's an early look at one such 3D environment.
