Dream Start for Sega

Dreamcast flies off the shelves in the US

Sega are re-assessing their targets for Dreamcast after selling over 410,000 units in just a few days in the United States. The sales add up to well over $120 million worth of business in the space of a week. Tidy. And very promising for Dreamcast in general.

In an announcement at the Tokyo Game Show, Sega also announced plans to release a 100Mb Zip drive for the Dreamcast. This will enable Dreamcast users to store a silly amount of data, although there has been no firm announcement as to whether it will get a European release. It will certainly be useful for those who use the Internet a lot, though.
