We all knew it was coming, but now Sega have confirmed it
At Sega's pre-Tokyo Game Show meeting in Japan, it was announced that Half-Life will be released for the Dreamcast in late 2000. That's a long time from now, but the waiting period is apparently due to Sega's desire to equip the title with full online multiplayer capability.
Many were hoping that Sega and Sierra would work out something whereby Half-Life would come out on the Dreamcast this year, free of multiplayer gameplay, and that Team Fortress would arrive next year, complete with online action. Sadly though, this looks not to be the case, and the DC is going to have to wait a while for its first first-person shooter.
