Sonic Adventure Online Upgrades Now Available!

Go online to access new features and to compete with players from across the world!

If you haven't been making use of that rectangular piece of machinery called a "modem" in the back of your Dreamcast, you're not alone. There really hasn't been much reason to go online with the Dreamcast, apart from a launch day download for Sonic Adventure and a recent crappy piece of VMU minigaming in the form of VMU Football. Until now, that is. Sonic Team have updated the Sonic Adventure web page with two new features: a world ranking mode and another VMU download, both of which have managed to enhance the Sonic Adventure gaming experience.

The other download is similar in nature to the one from launch day, which transformed Station Square into a Sega celebration, complete with balloons and Dreamcast banners. This new download seems to be in celebration of Halloween, when ghouls and ghosts roam the streets, turning Twinkle Park into the terrifying Tremble Park. All you have to do to experience this download is go to the community/events area of the Sonic Adventure home page, accessible through the Internet mode of Sonic Adventure. Once you've downloaded the event onto your VMU, go into the game and enter what was formerly Twinkle Park by using Sonic, Amy or Big. Make sure you play with the lights on though!
