SoulSim Ltd. have announced the release of GirLand: Through the Eyes of the Girls for PC. This bizarre dating sim is built around an advanced artificial intelligence program, based on 13 years of research at the University of Durham. Girls (or curious boys) will be able to take part in three distinct game types - Chat Challenge, Know Yourself and Date Training. Chat Challenge tests how well you can interact with the characters in the game. One 'mission' involves trying to persuade a particularly dishy lad to go to the cinema with you. In Know Yourself you have to go out on a date and then have your performance dissected by Becky, the game's resident agony aunt. The real meat lies in Date Training where you get to create your perfect boyfriend and then take him out to the cinema, or shopping, or whatever it is that little girls are into. A Bros gig maybe?
If you fancy a bit of virtual lurve, head on over to www.girland.com and buy the game.
Next spring will see the Japanese release of Pro Action Replay for the Dreamcast. This time around, the cheeky device will be software based, instead of the usual cartridge format.
Japanese gamers will soon be able to design and ride rollercoasters thanks to Bottom Up's JetCoaster Dream on Dreamcast. It sounds a lot like Hasbro's Rollercoaster Tycoon for the PC, as you choose from six different theme parks, each with their own unique challenges. You'll even be able to save your best 'coasters onto your VMU and share them with your mates. Yippee! JetCoaster Dream will be available in Japan on December 9 at a bargain 3,980 yen (£23).
