New VW racer from Infogrames

Volkswagen's new Beetle is set to launch in the UK before Christmas, but you'll have to wait until February for Infogrames' new PC racer, Beetle Crazy Cup. The game features 18 models and 45 different cars - all of them Volkswagens, naturally. Together with the aforementioned Beetle, there's a buggy, the Karmann Ghia, 356 and even the splendid Beetle camper van, replete with a psychedelic, 1960's paint job. Crazy.

Up to eight players can tackle the game's 25-plus circuits. The emphasis is very much on arcade-style fun and one of the races features monster trucks - Volkswagens with massive wheels, basically. Nice. Looks pretty good - hopefully we'll get preview code around Christmas.
