Futuristic Tech-Thriller? Why not?

German developer says, "Hey, this book would make a pretty good game."

A release was, well, released today, informing us of an effort on the part of Massive Development to create a game based on Kilo Class, a novel by Patrick Robinson. Kilo Class tells the story of a future conflict among the US, China and Russia. Players take command of the submarine Columbia in the war to prevent the sale of Russian submarines to the Chinese. But it's not all about submarine warfare. You'll also get to take control of a team of Navy SEALs, directing them in both land and sea-based missions.

Release is planned for, get this, early 2002. Don't expect to see our review of it any time soon.
