Gauntlet Legends Headed to Dreamcast

Signs point to an arcade perfect port of this phenomenal follow-up

As if Midway's support for Sega's new system hadn't been strong enough to date, sources inside the company have indicated that we will indeed see a version of the arcade smash Gauntlet Legends on the Dreamcast in the near future. This confirms rumours ignited by ads in various European publications that indicated a version was already underway.

Midway had claimed this was actually a misprint and that though the game was already headed to the Nintendo 64 and PlayStation, a DC version wasn't yet on the cards. However, we've been told that the company's tune has changed a bit, and that Legends is but one of many titles now in the works as part of Midway's second wave of Dreamcast titles.

We're still waiting for an official statement from Midway on the port and its features, but one thing's for sure - Legends will benefit greatly from the increased power of the Dreamcast. If past DC efforts from Midway are any indication, we can most likely expect a near-flawless translation. We'll be sure to keep you posted as soon as additional information becomes available.
