| NeoGeo Shocks, Rocks and Illuminates |
It's official: Nyko will bring two of their best Game Boy Color peripherals to the SNK handheld
All you NeoGeo fans envious of the Game Boy Color and its habit of getting the best peripherals can rest at ease. Nyko have informed us that the company's two biggest Game Boy Color peripherals (and our favourites) are heading to the SNK handheld. That's right - the Worm Light and Shock 'n Rock are both being made for the NeoGeo.
The Worm Light is a must-have peripheral that plugs into the extension port of the Game Boy Color, drawing power from the unit and illuminating the screen by a light that hangs from above. The NeoGeo Pocket Color version will be identical to the Game Boy version, with a plug that fits into the link port of the unit.
The Shock 'n Rock is a rechargeable battery, external speaker and force feedback device, all in one unit. The Game Boy version is designed in such a way that makes the unit a lot more comfortable to hold, but since the NeoGeo is already a comfortable playing unit, we don't know how it will be designed so as not to remove the portability of the device.
Neither the Worm Light nor the Shock 'n Rock for the NeoGeo Pocket Color have a release date yet, but don't expect to see them until at least early 2000.
