UK's biggest ever LAN party coming to Swindon
Over 440 of the nation's most fanatical gamers are preparing to descend on Swindon for the biggest LAN party Britain has ever seen. I3 is the third in a series of gaming festivals sponsored by gameplay.com, the UK's leading online computer games supplier, and will take place from 9am on Friday March 24 at Swindon Town FC Conference Centre. The marathon event will run until 6pm on Sunday March 26.
"These events allow gamers to pit their skills against one another in a competitive environment, and in some cases learn a trick or two from some of the professional gamers who will be attending the event," said Andy Mee, Sales and Marketing Director at gameplay.com. "On top of all this, LAN parties are great social events. Many gamers who have been playing together online for years have met face-to-face for the first time at our LAN events."
SMC Networks will use the event to launch Multigo.net, a consumer kit that connects PCs together. Get along there early to secure a place and who knows, you might be able to blag some Multigo.net products to try at home.
