The Longest Journey

Empire to oversee UK distribution

Empire Interactive have acquired the exclusive UK publishing rights to Funcom's The Longest Journey. The popular adventure game has already been launched in five different language versions across Europe (French, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian and German).

The Longest Journey is an epic adventure set some 200 years in the future in a world based on science and technology. The high-resolution world is made up of 160 detailed locations with 50 speaking characters, promising over 60 hours of gameplay.

"We believe that the market is ready for a game like this," said Tomas Schreiner of Funcom. "Very few good adventure games have been released in the past few years, and we hope that The Longest Journey is the game people have been waiting for."

The game is set for an Easter release in the UK.
