Spider-Man officially swings aboard PlayStation

Spider-Man, Spider-Man, does whatever a spider can...

Activision have announced today that Marvel Comic's favourite webhead will soon debut on PlayStation.

The cast of evil enemies are all well represented in Spider-Man, including Venom, Doctor Octopus, and Carnage. Peter Parker's sexy red-head wife, Mary Jane, will make an appearance as well.

Players will take on Spider-Man's athletic fluidity as well as his acrobatic skills as he explores the depths of Manhattan. A few of the locales include abandoned subway tunnels and a super villain prison.

"Gamers will be dazzled by the action-adventure game's combination of combat and exploration," said Mitch Lasky, Activision's senior VP. "For the first time, players will get to experience all the famous Spider-Man moves, such as web-slinging, swinging from rooftops and vertigo-inducing wall-crawling."
