Empire sign Ford license

Ford Racing due on PC and PlayStation

Empire have signed up a worldwide licensing agreement with the Ford Motor Company, the fruits of which will be Ford Racing. The game will feature 12 cars from Ford's racing team including the Taurus, Mustang, Explorer and GT90, (wot no Ka?) together with a number of 'concept' cars.

Ford Racing includes a career mode in which you take on 80 drivers in five racing classes, with the aim being to amass cash by winning races and then stepping up a class. Oh, and mulit-player racing is promised, too.

"The opportunity of working with a brand as globally recognizable as Ford is extremely exciting and clearly a major coup for this company," said Empire's Ian Higgins.

Expect to see Ford Racing on the shelves before Christmas.
