New console from Microsoft?

Rumour started by the American Next Generation magazine links Microsoft to new console called X-Box

Microsoft are keeping schtum on the whole subject but we've come to hear that X-Box, being developed by Microsoft will feature a 500Mhz Intel processor. It's also thought that although Microsoft are developing the system, X-Box will be built by several PC manufacturers, such as Dell and Gateway, and will feature multiple CPU/graphics technologies in different Xbox variants.

It's been mooted that Microsoft have kept the lid on this one in order not to offend Sega whose Dreamcast is due to launch next week in the USA and also uses Microsoft's Windows CE technology. Whether that's true or this is all just wishful thinking remains to be seen but Future Gamer will bring you any more news as we get it.
