Crash Bandicoot and Spyro Coming to Dreamcast?

Maybe not, but who knows what will happen as Konami team up with Universal Interactive.

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun morning edition has revealed that Konami Co and Universal Interactive Studios Inc have formed an alliance to develop and release interactive games for Sony, Sega, and Nintendo systems. The agreement stipulates that Konami will market and distribute the games that Universal Interactive develops. Gamers will be familiar with Universal Interactive's Crash Bandicoot and Spyro characters, both of which have been released to massive worldwide success on the PlayStation.

The Nihon Keizai Shimbun goes on to state that games based off of Jurassic Park, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and Woody Woodpecker are expected to hit the market next Spring. Universal Interactive have access to the wide backlog of licenses available through Universal Studios, so the sky is clearly the limit.

It's too early to tell if we'll see Crash Bandicoot or Spyro on the Dreamcast, but it's nice to dream of a 128-bit version of those games.
