Power Stone bags prestigious Number One award

Future Gamer top tip garners major US trophy

Capcom Entertainment have announced that Power Stone, their best-selling Dreamcast fighter, has been awarded the prestigious Number One ranking in the Eighth Annual CBS Toy Test. The test took place at the Pacific Science Centre in Seattle, and involved 15,500 children playing and rating 75 games on the N64, PlayStation and Dreamcast.

"The CBS Toy Test is one of the most prestigious toy awards in the country," said Robert Lindsey, vice president of sales and marketing, Capcom Entertainment. "It is a thrill to be included in the CBS Toy Test, let alone receive top honours from among thousands of eager players. Anyone who has played Power Stone will definitely agree it's worthy of the number one spot!"

We certainly liked it - it scored a meaty 93% in Future Gamer. But what about the sublime Soul Calibur? All the sprogs involved in the test were under 15, so each of the 75 games had to be deemed suitable. Soul Calibur carries a 15 rating.
