Virtua Tennis

Dreamcast version around Wimbledon?

Frequent visitors to expensive London arcades will have seen Sega's stunning Virtua Tennis. This Naomi-based marvel has been coaxing quids from pockets with its beautiful graphics, excellent animation and TV-style presentation. And it ain't just a pretty face - the simple two-button control system makes it easy to pick up and play, while there's still heaps for the pro to master. There are eight world-class players to choose from, including Jim Courier, Mark Phillippoussis, Cedric Pioline and our own Tim 'nice but dim' Henman. As for a Dreamcast version, Sega have mentioned in passing that they're working on a Dreamcast tennis game, and that it should be ready around Wimbledon time. The Naomi-friendly Dreamcast architecture should make the conversion a breeze. We added two and two together and got a resounding four. Apart from Gideon who got 22!
