Commandos for hire

New Media Generation announce the development of a first-person shooter

Popular Russian game developer and publisher, New Media Generation, announced today that they will be developing a new 3D-action game, tentatively titled Hired Team.

"Hired Team is some sort of cross between combat simulator and arcade shooter in equal parts (think Rainbow Six meets Quake)," said a representative at New Media Generation.

Described as "Commandos from a first-person perspective", Hired Team is set in the year 2064. The Earth's surface is littered with waste and complete global urbanisation begins. This leads to pandemics, unemployment, crime, government corruption... the list goes on and on. Nasty street gangs emerge and are extremely well equipped with the newest weapons and supplies. Police are helpless and it's up to you and a team of skilled mercenaries to stop them.

Hired Team will be running on the in-house developed Shine 3D engine, optimised for 3D accelerators via Open GL API and is scheduled to be released later this year.
