Soul Reaver slips again

Oh delay!

Eidos' summer PlayStation hope Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver has fallen foul of the slippage monster yet again and won't make it into stores until August.

Originally scheduled for a March release, the Crystal Dynamics-developed game had already slipped to May and then again to June.

"We're tweaking the game now," managing director, Jonathan Kemp, told trade mag MCV. "The game has gone into Sony US for approval and the PAL code won't be ready until the end of August".

Great. So the code won't be ready until the end of August. Then it will need to be duplicated and packaged and then sent out to retail outlets. Hmm... don't be surprised if we haven't seen the last of the Soul Reaver slippage saga.

Would you believe that some magazines reviewed this game five months ago?
