Kasparov to take on the world

Chess maestro showing off again

World chess champion, Garry Kasparov, will take on the rest of the world in a game, starting on Monday June 21. Chess fans from all over the world will be able to go to Microsoft's site and suggest moves to the team of young experts playing against him.

"I'm inviting everyone from all over the world with the slightest interest in chess to play me," Kasparov said in an interview in New York. "I expect this to be a high-quality match and most probably, at some point, I will have to come up with some kind of novelty move in order to win".

Kasparov will travel to various countries during the epic game and will use a portable PC to transmit his moves. And it may take a while - he will have 24 hours to make each move! The four young experts then get 24 hours in which to gather all of the best suggestions from the Internet and make their decision.

This could prove to be a very slow game. Alternatively, the Russian just might win in three moves, or something. Go there now and make a difference!
