Rare on Tooie, Conker

Banjo-Tooie and a redesigned Twelve Tales: Conker 64 look to hit big in 2000

Rare have posted an update to their official FAQ with new details for upcoming games Banjo-Tooie and Twelve Tales: Conker 64. The developers obliterate speculation that their long-delayed squirrel-based 3D platformer has been canned, saying, "No, it hasn't. It's still being worked on by a full team and with the same level of dedication as when it was first announced."

The game, which debuted two years ago to E3 attendees, has undergone a complete redesign since it was last shown. Meanwhile, the sequel to Banjo-Kazooie is also still deep in development. While Rare aren't revealing any details just yet, they did go on record to comment, "Rest assured that we're hard at work trying to outdo the original game in as many ways as possible."
