Koei's Two Big PlayStation2 Games

Classic war strategy publishers intend to bring two PS2 games to the US next year

Koei have told IGN that they intend to bring both Kessen, their first PlayStation2 DVD game, and Shin Sangokumusou to the US on PlayStation2. Kessen is one of the original titles that Koei and Sony demonstrated as a lead game for PlayStation2, hyping it as the first DVD title on the system, as well as displaying its phenomenal ability to show dozens of real-time characters, on their horses, moving in battle across large landscapes.

Koei's first game, Kessen, will be accompanied by at least one other at launch in Japan, Koei told IGN, the second being Shin Sangokumusou (the last part of the word meaning Dynasty Warriors). Shin Sangokumusou is a mixed action/adventure/battle game with lots of characters and storyline subtleties. Koei also have two other games on the PlayStation2 list, Mahjong Taikai and Soldnerschild2. Koei couldn't comment on when these two games would appear in the US, but a representative said he hoped they would be ready at launch.
