Hello Kitty Crawls Onto the Dreamcast

The Kitty extraordinaire gets turned into a Dreamcast game... and a piece of Dreamcast hardware

Sega of Japan are developing a special version of the Dreamcast hardware in celebration of none other than Sanrio's famous child pleaser, Hello Kitty. Similar to the special Seaman Dreamcast, the Hello Kitty machine will be transparent and available in blue and pink flavours. Special versions of the Dream Passport, Visual Memory Unit, keyboard and controller will also be available.

The Hello Kitty Dreamcast and peripherals will go on sale in Japan on November 25. Although the chances of Western versions being released are pretty much non-existent, you can click here if you're interested in pre-ordering the machine.

We've also learned a few details on the Hello Kitty software scheduled to ship with the new hardware. The title is Hello Kitty: Panic in the Garden, and it's expected to be an email and Internet program surrounding a game of some sort.
