Dino Crisis Leaps to Game Boy Color

Capcom's PlayStation dino adventure is portable bound

Resident Evil isn't the only PlayStation Capcom game making its way to the Game Boy Color. We've just learned that Dino Crisis, the survival panic game designed by the team responsible for Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 on PlayStation, is currently in the works for Nintendo's portable.

The Game Boy Color conversion is being handled by UK developer M4, the company responsible for Tasmanian Devil: Munching Madness, released on Game Boy Color last November, and the upcoming Jerry McGrath Supercross 2000, due out this March.

Dino Crisis is an adventure game in the same style of Resident Evil, but instead of fending off zombies you're blowing away dinosaurs. According to M4, the project has just begun and most likely won't be complete until at least the fourth quarter of this year. Unlike HotGen's conversion of Resident Evil on the Game Boy Color, Dino Crisis will be a top-down-style adventure game, quite possibly similar to M4's Tasmanian Devil . It will also be developed exclusively for the Game Boy Color, bypassing any sort of black-and-white compatibility.

Dino Crisis is being developed for Virgin Interactive, who handle all Capcom titles in the UK. It's too early to bring you any screenshots, but we'll have full details as development progresses.
