Excitebike 64 Pays Homage to the Classic

The original NES Excitebike is playable in the 64bit update and the old track-editor feature works

Excitebike 64 is a game that brings the classic 2D NES original screaming into 3D, but for those of you who wouldn't mind taking a trip back down Memory Lane, developers Left Field Studios have also included the entire original NES Excitebike in the 64bit update. Best of all, the customisable track editor feature that helped to make the classic such a hit is also in perfect working order. Excitebike NES features digital and analogue control support, looks spot-on and is still just as fun as it ever was.

Left Field have also developed 3D versions of the original Excitebike tracks, featuring instant races, speed arrows, ramps, drop-offs, slowdowns and all. The mode also boasts the advantages of a superb physics engine, awesome stunts and, of course, full freedom of movement.

We'll have more on Excitebike 64 soon.
