Rockstar Games announce PlayStation2 racer

Take Two Interactive's videogame publishing division Rockstar Games have announced Midnight Club: Street Racing for PlayStation2. The title is being developed in conjunction with Angel Studios, the award-winning developers of Microsoft's Midtown Madness. Set in "realistic, incredibly detailed, three-dimensional models of the world's greatest cities", Midnight Club: Street Racing features single and multiplayer modes, plus a host of fully tuneable vehicles.

We reckon this one could be pretty special, judging by the screenshots and the involvement of Angel Studios, and we'll have more details prior to its expected autumn release.
