The Dreamcast peripheral commonly associated with Seaman gains independence
Following the huge success of Seaman: The Forbidden Pet, Sega of Japan have decided to sell their microphone as a standalone product in Japanese shops.
Of course, we all know that Seaman is a one-player game, so there's no need to sell another in shops. However, support for the peripheral is on the rise as two more games are set to take advantage of it, namely Room Mania #203 and Death Crimson 2. Before you start emailing us, yes, Death Crimson 2 is a shooter, and no, we have absolutely no idea how the microphone will work with it. We should be getting in a playable demo of the title soon, which will hopefully shed some light on the matter.
If you're interested in picking a microphone up, they're due to hit Japanese shops on November 25, priced at 2,500 yen (around £15). Sega of Europe haven't commented on a European release for the device.
