European Wars: Warlord's Style

Take England to glory in Euro 1600

Russian developers GSC Game World are set to challenge the might of Age of Empires II with their first stab at historical real-time strategy. European Wars: Warlord's Style covers European conflict between the 16th and 18th centuries, a time when countries went to war just for something to do. There are 16 nations in all, from Prussia and Russia to old pals France and England, taking in most of Europe on the way. Each country has unique graphics and economic and technological development peculiarities based on historical fact.

More than 85 large-scale battles are represented in EW, including the English Civil War, the Thirty Years war (1618 - 1648), where England finally overcame France on penalties, the colonial wars of Portugal and Holland, plus England vs Holland (way before the 4-1 stuffing of 1996).

European Wars: Warlord's Style attracted plenty of attention at this year's ECTS - check out the screenshot and you'll see why. A first quarter 2000 release is scheduled.
