Sega Close PC Division

Efforts focused on Dreamcast software development

Sega Rally 2 arrived on PC on November 15, marking the end of Sega's brief flirtation with desktop ports.

"We've closed our PC division but we already had the game finished," a spokesperson for Sega told trade paper MCV. "I'm sure that it will sell very, very well, but there will be no more games developed for PC from Sega."

This seems like a rather bizarre time to close PC operations, considering the ease of porting PC games to Dreamcast - surely it would be relatively simple to port Dreamcast games to PC?
